These little guys can be dipped into Barbecue Sauce, or Honey Mustard, or Ranch, and they will remind you of McDonald’s Chicken nuggets. The same Crispy Tempura outside!
This recipe is quite Easy! Taking your most favorite firm tofu, you can easily dice it up and while wet, dredge it in the flour mixture, and deep fry for a min or 2.
Tempura Tofu / Mock Chicken Nuggets
10oz Extra Firm Tofu
2 TBLS CORN STARCH
2 TBLS FLOUR
1/2 TBLS CORN MEAL
1/2 TSP SALT
1 TBLS CHICKEN BULLION
1 TSP GARLIC POWDER
1 TSP ONION POWDER
1 TSP BLACK PEPPER

CUT TOFU IN SMALL CUBE (DICE SIZE)
IN A BOWL PLACE 1/2 CUP WATER AND 2 TBLS SOY SAUCE- PLACE DICED TOFU IN LIQUID, AND
LET SIT ABOUT 10 Min. TAKE OUT AND THROUGH PIECES IN THE DRY MIX COATING EVENLY. RE-Coat if sits and looks a bit wet.
FRY IN HOT OIL UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. 375 – 400 degree oil.
